Product Description
3M High Performance Masking Tape 232 is a tan, smooth crepe-paper masking tape for medium-temperature paint bake operations and demanding industrial finishing. Its solvent-free rubber adhesive develops immediate tack on metal, rubber, glass, plastic, and EPDM surfaces, while the heat-resistant backing conforms around corners and irregular shapes. The tape resists lifting, curling, slivering, and adhesive transfer and supports one-piece clean removal under normal operating conditions. On painted panels, it removed cleanly after 30 minutes at temperatures up to 121 deg C, with performance dependent on the surface, paint, processing conditions, and removal temperature. Applications include paint masking, temporary holding, labeling, patching, bundling, and surface protection.
