Main features
- Hand-Tearable Foil Installation
- Vapor-Barrier Sealing Performance
- Broad -40 to 149 deg C Service
Product Description
3M Aluminum Foil Tape 34383 is a silver, self-wound aluminum foil tape with an aggressive acrylic adhesive for sealing, patching, heat reflection, and vapor-barrier protection. Its 2.8 mil (0.07 mm) high-strength foil backing is malleable enough to follow irregular surfaces and tears by hand for tool-free application. The 4.5 mil (0.11 mm) total construction reflects heat and light and supports durable sealing against moisture, vapor, ultraviolet exposure, and harsh weather. Applied tape has typical peel and tensile data and long-term temperature resistance from -40 to 300 deg F (-40 to 149 deg C), supporting indoor and outdoor holding, splicing, patching, and sealing work.
Key features
- Malleable foil backing: The high-strength aluminum follows irregular shapes and tears by hand for installation.
- Vapor-barrier sealing: The foil/acrylic construction provides moisture-vapor protection and waterproof sealing.
- Broad long-term temperature range: Applied tape is rated from -40 to 300 deg F (-40 to 149 deg C) for days or weeks.
Applications
Suitable for heat reflection and dissipation, repairing tears, splicing thin foils, and general holding, patching, and sealing indoors or outdoors.
