- Visible Static-Control Identification
- 130 deg C Process Exposure
Product Description
3M Anti-Static Electronic Tape 40PR is a 0.055 mm (2.2 mil) polyester utility tape with an anti-static conductive-polymer acrylic adhesive for static-sensitive manufacturing areas. The 0.025 mm (1 mil) backing is preprinted with a static symbol for immediate visual identification during masking, holding, and process protection. Firm adhesion keeps the tape positioned while its anti-static construction is designed to reduce ESD risk to sensitive electronic equipment. The applied tape withstands temperatures up to 130 deg C (266 deg F) and complies with RoHS 2011/65/EU. It suits electronics assembly, clean work areas, and other production steps that require visible anti-static tape control.
Key features
- Anti-Static Conductive Adhesive: The conductive-polymer acrylic adhesive combines firm holding with static-control performance.
- Printed Static Identification: A preprinted static symbol makes the tape easy to identify in sensitive work areas.
- 130 deg C Temperature Capability: The applied tape withstands temperatures up to 130 deg C (266 deg F).
Applications
Suitable for masking, holding, packaging, and process protection in static-sensitive electronics manufacturing and clean work areas.
