Product Description
3M Adhesion Promoter 4298UV is a fast-drying liquid primer that improves the adhesion of 3M Acrylic Foam Tape and 3M Acrylic Plus Tape to low- and medium-surface-energy plastics used in automotive trim and parts. At a recommended wet coating thickness of approximately 0.002 inch (0.05 mm) or less, the promoter typically dries in 30 to 90 seconds. A fluorescent dye makes the applied coating visible for coverage verification. It can be applied by gravity-feed wipe, knurled roller, sprayer, felt-tipped applicator, or a similar method. Applications include tape-bond surface preparation for TPO, TPU, polypropylene, EPDM, polycarbonate, acrylic, ABS, nylon, glass, TPV, and TPE.
