Product Description
3M Vinyl Tape 4712 is the linered version of 3M Vinyl Tape 471, developed for die-cut shapes, large-area masking, marking, color coding, and temporary surface protection. Its 0.132 mm vinyl construction combines rubber adhesive with a robust release liner for controlled conversion and application. Unique stretch behavior lets the tape follow rough, curved, convex, and irregular surfaces without lifting or retracting. The tape is available in vivid colors, resists wear, moisture, abrasion, and solvents, and removes cleanly in one piece from many surfaces.
Key features
- Linered die-cutting: A robust release liner supports intricate converted shapes and large-area masking.
- Stretch conformability: The vinyl tape remains stretched around rough, curved, and irregular surfaces.
- Clean durable masking: Abrasion and solvent resistance combine with one-piece removal from many surfaces.
Applications
Applications include die-cut masks, custom paint masking, temporary surface protection, anodizing, electroplating, color coding, and printable labels.
