Main features
- Conformable Diamond-Plate Slip Resistance
- Mineral-Coated High-Friction Walking Surface
- Soft-Mallet Irregular-Surface Conforming
Product Description
3M Safety-Walk Slip-Resistant Conformable Tapes and Treads 510 is a black, mineral-coated slip-resistant tape with an aluminum foil backing for irregular and contoured walking surfaces. The abrasive high-friction surface is carried on conformable aluminum that can be worked around diamond plate, corners, rivets, screw heads, and ladder rungs. A pressure-sensitive adhesive and removable liner support placement on clean, dry surfaces at or above 10 deg C, and a soft rubber mallet is used after application to conform the material closely to surface features. The 510 construction is used on steps, ramps, platforms, and other uneven safety surfaces.
Key features
- Conformable aluminum backing: Aluminum foil follows corners, curves, diamond plate, rivets, and other irregular surface features.
- Mineral-coated high-friction surface: The abrasive mineral-coated surface adds slip resistance for walking and access areas.
- Controlled irregular-surface installation: Application above 10 deg C with firm pressure and soft-mallet conforming helps seat the tape onto textured surfaces.
Applications
Applications include diamond-plate safety surfaces, steps, ramps, platforms, ladder rungs, and other irregular or contoured walking surfaces.
