3M Glass Cloth Electrical Tape 79 is a white 7 mil electrical tape with a 5 mil glass-cloth backing and non-corrosive acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive for coil, transformer, and motor insulation work. The glass cloth provides dimensional stability, absorbs varnishes and resins, and remains conformable for banding, anchoring, and crossover insulation. Electrical performance includes a minimum 2000 V dielectric breakdown and minimum 50 x 10^6 ohm insulation resistance under ASTM D1000 testing. The tape is printable, solvent resistant, and rated for 600 V service, with product-page temperature performance from 0 to 150 deg C.
