- Glass-Reinforced Packaging Strength
- Minimal-Rubdown Package Reinforcement
- Transparent Reinforcement Preserves Graphics
Product Description
Tartan Filament Tape 8934 is a clear glass-yarn reinforced BOPP tape with pressure-sensitive synthetic rubber-resin adhesive for light-duty strapping and package reinforcement. The 0.102 mm construction combines good initial adhesion with high tensile and shear strength, while the transparent backing keeps box graphics and printing visible. Typical performance includes 53 N/100 mm 180 deg peel adhesion to stainless steel after 72 hours at 23 deg C, 3% elongation at break, and 175.1 N/cm tensile strength. Application is easiest at room temperature.
Key features
- Glass-yarn tensile reinforcement: Glass yarn filaments add tensile strength for box closing, bundling, reinforcing, and pallet unitizing.
- Low-rubdown initial adhesion: Synthetic rubber-resin adhesive develops good initial adhesion and holds with minimal rub-down on common packaging surfaces.
- Transparent protective backing: Clear BOPP construction keeps graphics visible while resisting nicks, abrasion, moisture, and scuffing.
Applications
Applications include box closing and reinforcement, light-duty strapping, bundling, sealing, palletizing, and intra-plant movement of packaged goods.
