Scotch Filament Tape 898 is a clear filament-reinforced polypropylene tape with a multi-layer synthetic-rubber adhesive system for high-strength reinforcement and heavy-duty strapping. The 0.168 mm construction combines glass yarn filaments with a backing that resists nicks, abrasion, moisture, scuffing, and breakage, even when nicked or punctured. Its adhesive bonds to corrugated cardboard, fiberboard, plastics, metals, and oily surfaces, and the tape is engineered to dispense consistently without curling. The reinforced construction is intended for demanding packaging, shipment reinforcement, bundling, and strapping work.
