Main features

  • Low Temperature Cure Option
  • Low Pressure Structural Bonding
  • Selectable Film Weight Construction

Product Description

3M Scotch-Weld Structural Adhesive Film AF 126 is a thermosetting, nonvolatile modified epoxy film adhesive for structural bonding of metals and honeycomb constructions. Supported film options with protective liners are available in several nominal weights and calipers, allowing the construction to be matched to the required bondline. The film can cure at temperatures as low as 107 deg C, with optimum results from a 121 deg C cure for 1 hour. Negligible volatile byproducts support low-pressure bonding, while uncured tack assists placement during layup.

Key features

  • Low Temperature Cure Option: The film can cure at temperatures as low as 107 deg C.
  • Low Volatile Cure: Negligible volatile byproducts support low-pressure structural bonding.
  • Multiple Film Weight Options: Supported constructions provide selectable nominal weight and caliper.

Applications

Structural bonding of prepared metals and honeycomb sandwich assemblies.
