Main features

  • Low Temperature Cure
  • Controlled Low Flow Processing
  • Clean Low Tack Layup

Product Description

3M Scotch-Weld Structural Adhesive Film AF 126-2 is a toughened epoxy structural adhesive film for bonding prepared metal, composite, and honeycomb assemblies. The matte nonwoven scrim-supported construction is available in several nominal weights and calipers, with low tack that supports clean handling during layup. Low flow during cure helps control the bondline, and the film can cure at temperatures as low as 82 deg C. Film weight, primer, metal preparation, pressure, and cure schedule define the complete bonding process.

Key features

  • Low Temperature Cure: The film can cure at temperatures as low as 82 deg C.
  • Low Flow Bondline Control: Controlled flow helps maintain adhesive placement during cure.
  • Low Tack Layup Handling: The supported film is designed for clean positioning before cure.

Applications

Structural bonding of prepared metals, composites, and honeycomb sandwich assemblies.
