Main features

  • Equal-Weight Mix Control
  • Ambient or Accelerated Cure
  • Flexible Non-Conductive Bonding

Product Description

LOCTITE ABLESTIK 216C03 is a two-part amber epoxy adhesive for general-purpose, electrically non-conductive bonding of plastic parts. The 100:100 resin-to-hardener ratio by weight simplifies equal-part preparation, while the mixed adhesive has a typical viscosity of 16,000 mPa s at 25 deg C. It can cure for 24 hours at 25 deg C or one hour at 65 deg C, allowing ambient or accelerated assembly schedules. The flexible, thixotropic formulation bonds nylon, PVC, polyethylene, acrylic, Lexan polycarbonate, polypropylene, Kapton polyimide film, and other thermoplastics. Cured aluminum lap-shear strength varies with the selected cure schedule.

Key features

  • Equal-weight mixing: A 100:100 resin-to-hardener ratio simplifies batch preparation and visual mix control.
  • Ambient or accelerated cure: Cures in 24 hours at 25 deg C or one hour at 65 deg C.
  • Flexible non-conductive bonding: Combines electrical isolation with a flexible epoxy bond for plastic-part assembly.

Applications

Applications include general-purpose assembly bonding of nylon, PVC, polyethylene, acrylic, Lexan, polypropylene, Kapton, and other thermoplastic parts.
