Main features
- Cooling-Hole Process Protection
- Aggressive Metal-Processing Resistance
- Low-Ash Thermal Removal
Product Description
Dymax SpeedMask 706 Maskant is a UV- and visible-light-curable process maskant for turbine-component and high-temperature metal processing. The material protects selected areas during acid stripping, air plasma spray, and machining, including cooling-hole protection on supported nickel superalloys and high-temperature steel. After cure, the mask forms a durable temporary barrier intended for demanding process exposure and controlled removal. The product is selected where a removable mask must remain in place through aggressive operations while limiting residue after the stated removal sequence. Its application focus is process protection rather than permanent coating or structural bonding.
Key features
- Turbine-feature protection: The maskant is used to protect cooling holes and selected component areas during processing.
- Aggressive-process resistance: Supported operations include acid stripping, air plasma spray, and machining.
- Controlled burn-off removal: The cured mask is intended for removal by the documented thermal process with low residual ash.
Applications / Suitable for
- Acid stripping
- Air plasma spray and machining
- Cooling-hole protection on turbine components
