Main features
- Thixotropic Complex-Surface Masking
- Multi-Metal Blast Protection
- Peelable Post-Process Removal
Product Description
Dymax SpeedMask 711 Maskant is a thixotropic, light-curable gel maskant for temporary surface protection during grit blasting, shot peening, airflow testing, sand blasting, and mild chemical processing. Its gel rheology supports localized placement on nickel alloys, steel, titanium, stainless steel, and aluminum before UV cure. After processing, the cured mask is designed for peel removal rather than permanent service. The product is suited to metal components that need a defined protective boundary through mechanical or mild chemical exposure, while the thixotropic form helps maintain the applied shape on complex surfaces before cure.
Key features
- Thixotropic gel definition: The gel form supports localized application and shape retention before cure.
- Multi-metal process masking: The supported substrate range includes nickel alloys, steels, titanium, and aluminum.
- Peelable temporary protection: The cured mask can be removed after blasting, peening, testing, or mild chemical exposure.
Applications / Suitable for
- Grit and sand blasting
- Shot peening and airflow testing
- Mild chemical processing
