- Elevated-Temperature Compressive Strength
Product Description
EPOCAST 1614-A3 Epoxy Structural Syntactic Adhesive is a low-density, flame-retardant, one-component frozen epoxy structural syntactic adhesive for aerospace honeycomb composite reinforcement and bonding. The premixed paste provides up to 16 hours of working life and typical wet density below 0.75 g/cm^3. It cures at elevated temperature and retains typical compressive strength of 7.0 to 9.0 ksi at 177 deg C after the stated cure. Applications include honeycomb core reinforcement, structural joining, fastener or attachment potting, and panel-edge reinforcement.
Key features
- Premixed frozen format: The one-component paste is supplied premixed and frozen for controlled preparation before use.
- Extended working life: Working life is up to 16 hours, depending on process requirements.
- Elevated-temperature strength: Typical compressive strength is 7.0 to 9.0 ksi at 177 deg C after cure.
Applications
- Honeycomb core reinforcement
- Structural bonding and joining
- Fastener or attachment potting
- Panel-edge reinforcement
