EPOCAST 50-A1/946
Harmonization Code : 3214.10.00 | Putty and other mastics | Resin cements, caulking compounds and other mastics

Main features
- Short 20-Minute Gel Time
- Solvent-Free Composite Laminating
- High-Strength Cured Laminate
Product Description
EPOCAST 50-A1 Resin / Hardener 946 Epoxy Laminating System is an unfilled, solvent-free two-component epoxy for composite structure manufacture, repair, and filament winding. The amber system mixes at 100:15 by weight and has a 20-minute gel time at 25 deg C, providing the shorter work-life option in the 50-A1 series. It can be cured for five days at 25 deg C or heat-cured for two hours at 77 to 93 deg C after room-temperature gel. Typical cured glass-laminate data include compressive strength above 46 ksi and self-extinguishing behavior.
Key features
- Short working window: The mixed system has a 20-minute gel time at 25 deg C.
- Solvent-free laminating system: The unfilled epoxy is used for composite manufacture, repair, and filament winding.
- Cured laminate strength: Typical compressive strength exceeds 46 ksi across the reported cure conditions.
Applications
- Composite structure manufacture
- Composite repair
- Filament winding
