Product Description
EPOXYLITE MR 101 Masking Grease is a light-brown, grease-like masking compound containing volatile solvents for protecting surfaces that should remain uncoated during painting or varnishing. Its thixotropic consistency limits flow after placement, and the applied material air dries in 15 to 30 minutes. The dry masking film is stated not to affect the cure of paint or varnish and remains stable at temperatures up to 500 deg C. The compound is supplied for temporary process protection and is described as easy to remove after the coating operation.
Key features
- Thixotropic masking placement: The grease-like compound minimizes flow on protected areas.
- Fifteen-to-thirty-minute air dry: The applied masking material develops a dry film within the documented time range.
- High-temperature dry-film stability: The dried masking film is reported stable up to 500 deg C.
Applications
- Masking surfaces that should not be coated during painting or varnishing
