LOCTITE EA 9309.2

Main features

  • 40 lb/in Peel Strength
  • 37.2 MPa Aluminum Lap Shear
  • Moderate-Viscosity Two-Part Paste

Product Description

LOCTITE EA 9309.2 is a two-part, toughened epoxy paste adhesive for metal skin, honeycomb core, and composite bonding and repair. The moderate-viscosity system offers high peel strength and develops typical aluminum tensile lap-shear values of 37.2 MPa at 25°C, 31.7 MPa at -55°C, and 6.9 MPa at 82°C. A 100:22 mix ratio by weight, 30-minute pot life for a 450 g mixed mass, and room-temperature cure support controlled structural bonding workflows. The cured material remains flexible, with 4.8% elongation at break, and resists humidity, water, and most common fluids.

Key features

  • High peel strength: Typical peel strength is 40 lb/in (178 N/25 mm) at 25°C.
  • Temperature-dependent shear performance: Typical aluminum lap shear is 31.7 MPa at -55°C, 37.2 MPa at 25°C, and 6.9 MPa at 82°C.
  • Controlled two-part mixing: Mix Part A and Part B at 100:22 by weight.
  • Practical working window: Pot life is 30 minutes for a 450 g mixed mass.
  • Flexible cured profile: Typical elongation at break is 4.8% at 25°C.
